I enjoy singing in a Japanese choir, studying foreign languages, and making short films about my travels. However, the thing most important to me is relationship - spending time with my family, my friends, my 3 little nieces, and the bonds I made when climbing the Himalayas.
I have a very entrepreneurial spirit and started my 2nd company 3 years ago. I love to come up with new ways to help people move beyond their limits and do things they never imagined they could do. I use my business as a vehicle to help others lead more fulfilling, happier lives, and to fund aid projects in the poorest parts of Nepal.

FOR FUN: I like a variety of activities including triathlons, surfing, hiking, and rock climbing. I like salsa and swing dancing (but I am not good at it…yet) & hope to learn ballroom. I love a great film. I recently joined a Japanese choir (I am the only non-Japanese speaker in it).

MY FAVORITE HOT SPOTS: One local place is the Spruce St. hanging bridge in north park. It is one of SD’s hidden romantic spots. Overseas, I love Oshino Hakkai, a charming village at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Japan and Ghat, a tiny village in the Mt Everest region of Nepal.
MY FAVORITE THINGS: Running on the beach on a beautiful day, playing in the park with my 5 year old niece, dancing, laughing, chatting over coffee, audiobooks, meteor showers, foreign films, Vietnamese spring rolls, ice coffee with milk, anything to do with Japan or Tibet.
LAST READ: Recently I loved both Blink and The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. My all time favorite is still Seven Years in Tibet.
