• Winter weekend sail to Fossil Bay, Sucia Island, Washington USA

  Yes, we did it. The weather was forecast to be settled for several days, and I'd planned ahead for just such an opportunity so food and gear were ready a "spontaneous" run down to the San Juans from our slip in Point Roberts. It was lovely, there was only one other boat there so we were tied up to the dock. We strolled around the island in the evening after a slow (little wind) sail and dinner aboard. The next day was a dead calm, so after another hike around the island we motored back to the marina. Beautiful location, adventure, privacy, and cool temperatures outside.
